The effect definitely sounds fine. And the idea of Billy possibly removing it? Hm well in the show not all the shards had to be removed by Princess Tutu - in the episode with the fear shard, it's the woman's husband who talks her through her problems and gets it excised from her. So yeah I think I would be willing to go through with Billy being able to take it out.
