Fourth Shard [Action/Voice]
Once upon a time...
There was a prince who knew nothing. He was a prince who loved his people and wanted to express that affection by improving the lives of his citizens. However, all of his attempts to add to his knowledge in order to benefit his people ended in disappointment. Until one day, when the kingdom was hit by a terrible plague. Desperately, the prince turned to a traveling witch for help. He convinced her to cast a spell on him, one which would allow him to truly learn new information. The deal was successful, and the prince was consumed by newfound curiosity. He found himself traveling throughout the land, asking question after question, constantly adding new information to his mind.
However, no matter how many answers the prince received, he found himself unable to do anything other than asking more and more questions....
[Action]
[So Mytho has had a few weeks that have been eventful in the terms of getting some of his heart shards back. First was affection, which led to him spending more time around Rue. Then there was disappointment, which caused him to be somewhat withdrawn. And most recently, he has regained the desire for knowledge. Ever since last week, he has channeled this into studies. At school, he would be noticeable for asking questions frequently about even the most minor matters.
And this week, he goes around seeking some specific knowledge: the location of Rue. He's unaware that the rogue Malnosso's droids had kidnapped her. So he's been wandering around town, quick to inquire with anyone he sees, especially if he knows that the person in question knows her.]
[Voice]
I don't know where Rue has. Have you seen her? I don't know where she could be...
[He can't stop there. He already has another question on his mind.]
I'd also like to know... How does this book work?

[He can't stop there. He already has another question on his mind.]
I'd also like to know... How does this book work?
action
[And he looks down at his hands as he considers her question.]
To like her...? I don't know the full extent of how much I like Rue. Except, in the past... [He looks up uncertainly.] I believe that the feeling of love has been felt towards her...
action
The boy really was innocent.]
Devotion and Love a lot of times go together. [Cliff explained, patiently.] After all, you can't be willing to give something you're all if you're not devoted to doing the best you can for whatever it is you're doing.
action
What about affection?
action
That too. You've gotta really like something to be that devoted to it.
...
[But this was all curious...]
You don't get out much, do ya?
action
action
I'll take that as a 'no'.
[Smiling in his own quiet amusement-- and not at all second guessing himself, he offered out a hand for the young man.]
Let's work together to find your Rue. How's that sound to you?
action
Okay. I'd like to find her.
action
Well all right then. Have you gotta name?
action
action
Mytho? [Neat name, and he's heard a few.] Nice meeting you. I'm...[There was a brief pause while he quickly debated the merits of explaining before he decided that, nah, it wasn't worth it for the moment.] Maria.
You have any ideas about where she'd go?
action
I'm not sure where she would go. Somewhere to dance... or perhaps to read...
action
Dance or read? Huh.
...
Tell ya what. I've got a few ideas.
[The library, for one, although he wasn't certain if they would succeed. Odds were, with a place like Luceti, that Rue was missing for reasons beyond their ability to control. But, he would stick with Mytho for the afternoon, until either they found Rue or he was certain that the young man would be well taken care of.]
action
...Tell me, what sorts of ideas are they?
action
I was thinking that the library might be a place to start. It sounds like she likes quiet places.
action
Usually... That's where Fakir goes. But Fakir doesn't go to this library.
