Fifth Shard [Action/Voice]
Once upon a time, there was a prince who lived amongst his people. Every day, he would make his way through the market to get to know all of them and to help them with their troubles. But one day, he received a shocking report: bandits had lead a brutal attack on one section of the kingdom while the prince was helping a different one. So he raised a tower in his home so that he could watch over more of the kingdom with ease. Soon, he heard word that a child was abducted in a portion of the kingdom that was out of his sight, so he had the tower raised to watch over those districts. Even then, reports soon came of wildfires occurring on the outskirts of town. Determined to watch over his people, the prince raised his tower higher and higher, and he kept a vigilant watch over the entire kingdom.
And, as he protected them all from above, he slowly forgot what it was like to see the warmth of their smiles...
[Action]
[Mytho's been feeling a familiar feeling; one that he hasn't felt in so long.
"A heartache deep down... a desire to see someone and talk to them... Could it possibly be what it feels like to be lonely?"
In fact, it's been quite some time now since he regained the feeling of loneliness. For the most part, he had been wallowing in the feeling ever since; but that recent shift did act as a break from that emotion.
Today, he goes to school; but he isolates himself in class and is generally silent, especially odd considering how inquisitive the desire for knowledge had made him. Mytho leaves during the lunch break and doesn't return to school for the day.
He could be found in several random locations around town, occasionally doubled over in pain as he tends to his heart. Inside, there's a ravenous hunger that is feeding on the loneliness in his heart.
As dusk falls, its power seizes him. There's now a purple flair in his eyes and a sinister smugness in the smile. He roams the village for a bit longer, occasionally breaking out into some ballet moves. And eventually, he settles by the Tsukino Shrine, where he draws crows and ravens to him. More and more of them gather on and around him, while he only smirks.]
[Voice]
[He addresses the journals at some point in the evening; it's uncertain "which" Mytho is speaking.]
Hello... Why don't you tell me, Luceti. Tell me about loneliness. What does that emotion mean to you...?

[Yet he sounds friendly - if the boy is asking, he might be feeling it, so let's try to change that for the poor kid.]
Are ya missin' someone?
Voice
[What would make his heart feel complete? Rue, Duck, Tutu? Or just having his friend Fakir around? Would anything?]
I don't know. How do I know for sure if I... miss someone?
Voice
Loneliness is just a part of us all we all feel. We may not like it, but we all have it, and we all need it. It helps us appreciate the ones we care about.

But... Fakir's not here. [It's been so long since he's seen his knight.]

Rue, Duck, Tutu, Emil... I think that they would be considered to be like friends to me.

They would be happy too? Does that mean... that they may be feeling loneliness as well?

It means... when the people who are the most important are so far away. And it hurts a little 'cause they matter so much.
Voice
How do you know... who is the most important? How far...?

Rue, or Duck... or Fakir?

It can mean different things for many people. For some, it can be feeling the absence of those important to you. [His writing pauses, before continuing.] It can also make you feel like you're out of place too.
[written]
I see. I think that I can understand the first concept. What does the second concept mean? I'd like to know.
[Feeling out of place... Could that be like the loneliness he's felt in the past?]
[written]
[Rudy hesitates, wondering if he should elaborate further.]
It's where you feel lost and don't know where you really belong. For some people, it feels like there's no place for you anywhere. It's not a nice feeling - especially if those important to you aren't there.
[It really isn't. That's how it was back then for him, anyway, before meeting his friends. After losing his grandfather, he didn't exactly have anyone else to confide in during those times. There's no denying it felt pretty isolating, as much as he still tried to keep his chin up regardless.]
[written]
[The people who are important to them... Most of them are here, except for Fakir. But still, this loneliness is taking on some kind of a different form. Partly due to the raven's blood that's inside his body.]
What if I feel like a stranger within my own self?
[Voice]
It's when you want people to be with you, but they aren't there.
[Voice]
However... If... there are people near me who I do want to be with me... how could I still feel such a thing?

[And then, his voice sounds a little different.]
I can get a lot done on my own...
[Voice]
... Mytho?

[...]
... um, it's nothing. I was just thinking to myself, that's all.
[Voice]
Tell me, Emil. When was the last time that you felt such a feeling... the feeling of loneliness?
